Venice was a “must have” stop on our Italy vacation. Being one of the foremost destinations for this photographer, I have virtually walked through every spot that is so well known to professional photographers through the ages. We gave ourselves a generous three days in Venice, preparing for the crowds, but hoping to hear some ideal tips from our hosts.
About Venice
Like a jewel in the crown of the Western World, Venice is an island empire in Northeast Italy that is unlike any other. The Venetians are a proud people, that have conquered, been conquered, created music, festivals, art, experience, innovation – all while surrounded by the smooth waterways, cut to and fro by vaparettos, water taxis, and sapphire-blue gondolas. Every turn is a journey, every peak into a new alleyway is a tapestry, every morsel tasted in a waterfront cafe, a delight.
The Airbnb We Chose
Venice Airbnb – with amazing host Anna. This was an absolute gem. Great location – easy to get around and away from the piles of tourists. Super hospitality as well! And Venice – what an incredible city!
