Florence was high on our list. The epicenter of the Italian Renaissance, Florence is the birthplace of Leonardo Da Vinci, the Mona Lisa, the Last Supper, the piano, and home to the Duomo, an extravagant and spectacular cathedral that took 140 years to build. The art is expansive and inspiring, the cathedrals massive, ornamented, and majestic, and the cuisine otherworldly. Florence was a must-have on our travels and it did not dissapoint.
About Florence
The amazing medieval bridge Ponte Vecchio, the unforgettable wine country just on the outskirts of town, the winding village walls, rolling vistas, epicurean mysteries, open-air leather markets, classically trained spontaneous street musicians, and warm, friendly, artistic locals – Florence captivates, invites, and delights. We look to grow more in love with this incredible place, knowing that we have just scratched the surface.
The Airbnb We Chose
Florence Airbnb – Luca e Lucilla’s apartment (loved it!). The decorations, the location, the interior design – it was super obvious this apartment was treasured by the owners.
